We got in yesterday afternoon without a hitch. Airport was a breeze. Met up with several other families as we waited for George, our rep. Two are sisters whose timelines matched up perfectly so they could arrive in Beijing together! Amazing. Several families are here for their second or third. The plane ride was a bit of a booger due to discomfort toward the end, but really not so bad. Food was hard for Nik, so lots of pretzels and power bars! Internet access on the phone is a bust, unfortunately, so quick posts from the hotel business center, sadly. Photos to come if our luck is a little better at the next hotel.
FYI, we ate at the Sizzler last nite! Interesting steaks and great view of the city. Wish we could post that art! We were so exhausted at that point -- we had been going for a solid 26 hours at that point and essentially no sleep (Layne caught some zzz's on the plane, but Nik was next to a guy who sang non-stop and had exceptionally bad breath, haha). We crashed hard when we returned to the room but were up and at it at 5AM this morning! The hotel is nice and the breakfast bar rocked.

Off to the Forbidden City and Tiannamen Square!
